About the Academie
L'Academie Atlantienne de la Danse is a royally chartered guild of the Kingdom of Atlantia, established in 2000 by King Amalric and Queen Caia. Our purpose is to further the study, teaching, and performance of historical dance throughout the kingdom. Read our Charter for the full founding document.
The Academie is governed by officers appointed by general consensus of the membership. Current officers are listed below.

The Chancelier is the figurative head of the Academie. Responsibilities include maintaining the Academie Membership Roster, assisting local groups in locating instructors for events and revels, helping establish new local dance guilds, and reporting to the Kingdom Minister of Arts and Sciences on the Academie's activities and projects. The Chancelier may appoint deputies as needed and is chosen by general consensus of the membership.
Seeking Volunteers!
The Communications Officer is appointed by the Chancelier and is responsible for cross-sharing Academie communications across platforms to reach folks interested in historical dance. Platforms may include email, Facebook, Discord, and others as appropriate. Contact the Chancellor if you are interested in serving.

The University Track Coordinator encourages members to teach and take classes at University of Atlantia. They work with the Registrar to advise on class scheduling and coordinate the Academie's dance track offerings.

The Web Minister is appointed by the Chancelier and is responsible for maintaining the Academie website, email list, and any other duties assigned by the Chancelier.
