About the Academie
L'Academie Atlantienne de la Danse (The Atlantian Academie of Dance) is a royally chartered guild of Atlantia created to further the practice of dance throughout the kingdom. By bringing together those who love dancing, would like to learn to dance, enjoy playing dance music, or love teaching others, the Academie fosters the art of dancing across the kingdom.
We are dancers, musicians, instructors — and also fighters, artisans, and everyday people who share the vision of making dancing commonplace throughout Atlantia. The Academie is open to anyone who practices, teaches, or is otherwise interested in the art, music, history, reconstruction, performance, or theory of period dancing styles.
Our Mission
We encourage the learning and mastery of the art of dancing, while aiding those outside of the Academie in the appreciation of dance. We do this by sponsoring workshops and practices, providing instructors for events, supporting local guilds, and connecting dancers across the kingdom.
